Waiting period
Insurance protection for matters concerning vehicle contracts is only implemented after a 3-month qualifying period, otherwise there is no waiting period.

Choice of legal representative
If a lawyer must be consulted, the insurance holder may suggest a lawyer whose office lies within the area of jurisdiction of the court responsible for the case. Protekta will then assign the chosen lawyer. Should the policyholder and Protekta be unable to agree on a lawyer, the policyholder may nominate 3 lawyers, one of which is then chosen by Protekta.
Procedures in case of futility or differences in opinion
Arbitration proceedings may be initiated within 20 days. Decisions made by the concordat for arbitrary jurisdiction apply.
Notice of cancellation
Notice of termination must be handed in at least 3 months before contract is due to lapse.
Contract term
According to contract duration as stated in insurance policy. Shortest possible duration is one year.
Action in case of a claim
The insurer must be notified in writing.
