Geographical limitations
For compensation and criminal cases the insurance applies if the place of jurisdiction is in Europe and the Mediterranean countries. For work contract, consumer and contract law, the EU/EEA coverage applies.
In all other insurance cases, the court of jurisdiction must lie in Switzerland or Liechtenstein.
Waiting period
Conflicts involving property and neighbouring law as well as legal advice are liable to a three-month qualifying period.

The insurance holder may demand bringing in an external lawyer and select him/her freely with the approval of Assista, given bringing in a lawyer is necessary.

Arbitration proceedings are possible. The regulations of the Swiss Code of Civil Procedure apply.
Notice of cancellation
Notice of termination must be handed in 6 months prior to expiry of contract.
Contract term
According to contract duration as stated in insurance policy (only annual contracts with automatic renewal).
Action in case of a claim
Groupe Mutuel has to be notified as soon as possible. Groupe Mutuel will carry out a pre-audit and pass the case to the legal protection insurer, TCS. Further legal steps or the bringing in of a lawyer must be taken in consultation with the insurance company.
Specially
If the collective agreement between Groupe Mutuel and the insurer is cancelled and Groupe Mutuel does not conclude a new contract, the coverage expires for all claims that occur after the ending of the contract.
