Ranking of personal liability and contents insurance providers
In 2016, comparis.ch conducted a survey on customer satisfaction with the Swiss personal liability and contents insurance companies in collaboration with the market research institution, GfK. A total of more than 1300 persons from all linguistic regions of Switzerland were surveyed. They rated the competence of the insurance employees, the insurer's availability by telephone, the comprehensibility of customer information, the speed and goodwill with which a claim was handled, and the satisfaction with the amount of the insurance premium.

- Mark 5.5 – 6 = Very good
- Mark 5 – 5.4 = Good
- Mark 4.5 – 4.9 = Satisfactory
- Mark 4 – 4.4 = Adequate
- Mark below 4 = Poor
All answers from one respondent about a provider are taken to calculate the total rating from the same respondent. A provider's final rating corresponds to the rounded mean value of all these total ratings. The final ratings as given by comparis.ch are based on the Swiss school grading system.
