Today, with around 80 million visits each year, we are one of the most widely used websites in Switzerland.

Since 1996, Comparis has stood for independence, trust and transparency. What began with the first online health insurance comparison in Switzerland has grown into the leading comparison portal for property, vehicles, insurance, finance and telecom products.

3. How our portals and comparisons work
Comparis enables you to compare the prices, features, rates, extras and details of an offer. This applies both to our portals and to our comparisons in the fields of health insurance, insurance, banking and telecommunications.
We want our users to find the offer that’s right for them. That’s why we are committed to depicting as many available offers on the market as possible, to show as many available offers in a given market as possible. To this end, Comparis also compares products and services from providers who do not wish to appear in our comparisons or with whom we have no contractual relationship.
For a clearer overview we avoid multiple listings. If different providers offer the same product – such as a vehicle – at the same price, we will only show you one offer. The individual providers are listed separately.
If users are interested in an offer, Comparis forwards the enquiry to the provider on their behalf. The quote is provided free of charge.
Use of artificial intelligence
We aim to continuously improve the services we offer. To this end, we also use artificial intelligence (AI). Modern technologies support us in the creation, editing and optimisation of a wide variety of elements. These include, for example, content and code programming, as well as other areas of application.
All elements created with the help of generative AI are carefully checked by us. This ensures that they meet our quality standards and are accurate, relevant and truthful. Products and content created entirely by artificial intelligence are labelled accordingly.
We use artificial intelligence in accordance with applicable data protection law and our ethical standards. Personal data will only be processed or used with express consent.
4. How Comparis earns money – and how it doesn’t
Our comparisons and services are free of charge for our customers. To keep it that way, just like any other company, we have to earn an income. This income consists of:

| Some deals are visually highlighted in our comparisons and results lists. These are additional advertising inserts that are clearly distinct from the other deals. They do not affect the order of the results. | We also finance our operations through digital advertising, such as banners. Such ads are marked as «AD» on comparis.ch and in our emails. | We pass on your enquiry in your name to the provider you are interested in. The provider pays us a set amount for this. In return, providers are able to reduce their customer acquisition and administrative costs significantly. |

Comparis has been in private ownership since 1996. Today, the company is wholly owned by the founder, Richard Eisler. No other companies or the state have a financial interest in Comparis.
