Disney+subscription in Switzerland: offer and prices
From Star Wars to National Geographic to the Disney classics, Disney+ has well-known films and series on offer. But how much does the subscription cost and which devices does Disney+ support? Here’s an overview.

1. What is Disney+?
Disney+ is an online streaming service provided by The Walt Disney Company. The streaming service has been available in Switzerland since March 2020.
2. How much does a subscription in Switzerland cost?
At the moment, there is only one Disney+subscription in Switzerland, which you pay for monthly or annually. Disney+ costs 12.90 francs per month or 129 francs per year. A subscription includes the following services:

Stream on up to 4 devices simultaneously
Create up to 7 profiles
Parental Controls and Child Profiles
4K UHD with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos
Group Watch: Virtual movie nights with up to 5 friends

3. How can I cancel the Disney+subscription?
You can cancel your monthly subscription with Disney+ at any time, with effect from the end of the month. The annual subscription, on the other hand, can only be cancelled with effect from the end of the year. You can use your account until the end of the billing cycle.
The option to cancel can be found in the account settings.
4. Which devices does Disney+ support?
Disney+ is available on many mobile devices and internet-enabled TVs and game consoles:

5. What does the Disney+ service offer?
Which films and series are available?
All together, more than 1,000 titles are available. This includes many in-house productions, such as Star Wars and Marvel series. Disney+ does not release new series in one fell swoop. There are new episodes every week.
The Disney+ library includes much more than just original productions. This is because Disney has secured the rights to many popular film and animation studios. These include Pixar, Marvel Cinematic Universe, Lucasfilm and 21st Century Fox.

Disney+ offers the opportunity to watch movies from home on release day. For earlier streaming access, you will need to pay an additional fee per movie. After a few months, the film will be included in the subscription price for all Disney+ users.
Can I also view the content offline?
Yes, you can download and watch all Disney+ content offline. The downloads have no time limit and are always available for you. The offline function can be used on up to ten devices.
6. Why is Disney+ worthwhile?
Disney classics, which up to now have had limited availability, are available for streaming. The Disney Vault is therefore a thing of the past.
Unlike other streaming providers, Disney+ already offers HDR and 4K streams with the standard subscription.
You can download and watch Disney+ content offline at any time. Unlike with Netflix, this is permanently available on your personal account.
There are no advertising interruptions with Disney+.
7. Summary
Disney+ offers many in-house productions and classics that you can’t watch with other providers. With the launch of “Star” in February 2021, Disney+ has significantly expanded its content with a range of series and films geared specifically towards adult audiences.
The basic subscription’s price is comparable to Netflix, but Disney+ already includes good image quality in its basic rate. If you are a true fan of Disney or Marvel, Disney+ is probably the choice for you.
