Play Suisse is the streaming platform of the Swiss Broadcasting Company (German abbreviation: SRG). As on Netflix and other streaming platforms, you can watch movies and series on Play Suisse.

You can access Play Suisse via:
Smart TVs from different manufacturers.
Apple TVs.
Android TVs.
TV boxes from various Swiss internet and TV providers.
Amazon Fire TVs.
Play Suisse is compatible with Google Chromecast. In addition, there is an app for iOS and Android as well as a web version for Play Suisse.
3. Is Play Suisse free?
Registering and using Play Suisse is free of charge and advertising. The SRG finances Play Suisse through its budget, almost 80% of which comes from Serafe, the collection agency for radio and television fees.
4. What does Play Suisse offer?
Over 3,000 titles are available on the SRG streaming platform. This includes in-house and co-productions of SRG’s language-based company units: SRF (German), RTS (French), RSI (Italian) and RTR (Romansh). In addition, there’s also:

Play Suisse has several partnerships with film and music festivals, such as the Geneva International Film Festival (GIFF) and the Montreux Jazz Festival.
Play Suisse selects films from festivals in its programme. Through these partnerships, it also offers concert recordings and music festivals.
Since July 2021, Play Suisse has also been offering content from The European Collection. This is a collaboration between the broadcasters Arte, ARD, ZDF, France Télévisions and SRG. Productions include documentaries, reports and web formats.
Can I watch Play Suisse offline?
Play Suisse is purely a streaming platform. Therefore, you cannot download films or shows to watch later. You require an internet connection at all times to stream.
5. In which languages is Play Suisse available?
The films and series are all available in their original language with subtitles in:
German.
French.
Italian.
Romansh (sometimes).
You can access most of Play Suisse’s content from EU countries. You need to allow access, however. You can do this in the settings.
You can’t access Play Suisse from non-EU countries.
6. How does Play Suisse differ from its competitors?
Play Suisse focuses on Swiss and European productions. Shows and movies are in their original language with subtitles in three to four national languages.
Play Suisse’s content is usually not exclusive, meaning it’s also played on existing channels. Exceptions are, for example, festival co-operations.
