Good to know: If you lease a vehicle, you usually have to take out full casco insurance in addition to liability insurance.

3. Car insurance check: how do I make a decision?

Once you have received suitable offers, you can carefully compare premiums, coverage options and insurance conditions.

Do you have a favourite? Before concluding the contract, check the following information:

  • Are the personal details such as name, gender, age, place of residence and nationality correct? Compare the information with your driving licence or your passport/identity card.

  • Is all the vehicle information correct? Compare the information with your vehicle registration document.

  • Check whether you are agree to the cancellation policy .

Good to know: depending on your driver profile, you will be assigned a bonus level. You pay more or less for the premium according to the bonus level. In the event of a claim, you will move up the bonus level ladder and the premium will increase. 

If, on the other hand, you remain accident-free, you will be assigned a lower bonus level after one year and the bonus will decrease. If you opt for bonus protection, you are exempt from this bonus level classification.
