            FAQs about property on Comparis

Comparis is the Switzerland’s biggest property portal. This means that at Comparis you’ll find the listings from the largest Swiss property portals as well as listings that providers publish directly on Comparis. However, Comparis does not own any property of its own.

Property seekers can use the information provided to contact the advertisers. Some listings will show you the contact details directly in the advertisement or contact form. If not, you can find the contact details in the provider’s original listing. The link can be found in each listing.

The Comparis property marketplace contains products from providers that accept quote/contact requests from Comparis, and products from providers that do not accept quote/contact requests from Comparis. The providers use the interface offered by Comparis and/or have published data that Comparis can access. By default, listings are sorted by relevance. This is based on objectively measurable criteria, in particular the extent to which the results match the selected search filters, how up to date they are, the completeness of the information and the source. Paid product placements are marked as such and are positioned independently of the rankings.

Private individuals advertise their rental apartment, house or condominium free of charge and with no minimum term: List a property as a private individual.

Property companies, property management companies and estate agencies advertise their properties via a partner account: Services for property professionals.

With a search alert vyou won’t miss any listings on the Swiss property market. If you want to be notified when a new property matching your criteria is listed, you simply need to set up a search alert.

Ideally, you should set this up as follows:

            1. Select your required filter criteria in the input screen on the results page filter criteria .

            2. Once you have entered them, the matching results will be displayed. You can now set up notifications about future listings via the button «Save as search alert».

            3. Give your search alert a name and choose how often you wish to receive notifications. Click «Create search alert» to save your search alert.

            4. Comparis will then immediately send you a message to the email address provided. This is to verify the email address. Once the address has been verified, you will then be notified by email of any listings matching your search criteria.

The amount of property data, which Comparis receives, allows it to display a range of information for each listing. For example, if a home has been advertised before, you can see how the price has changed.

Comparis believes that property listings may be published, properties given a value-for-money rating and price changes displayed in the form of charts or markers. The properties are listed on other public websites at the same time and there is a predominant private and public interest in displaying their price history. This allows us to offer potential tenants or buyers additional assessment criteria (price history).

Comparis also shows the average prices per square metre by municipality out. Search for your place of residence using the postcode or go through all municipalities as a list .

No, as a hybrid model, the Comparis property marketplace combines two data sources to provide the most comprehensive overview of the property market in Switzerland:

            • Direct listings: Since 2025, property agents and private individuals have been listing properties directly on Comparis.

            • Aggregated listings: Comparis continues to aggregate listings from the largest Swiss property portals.
