Davos, located in the Swiss canton of Graubünden, is a chic and bustling alpine town known for its expansive ski areas and vibrant history. Once a remote farming village, it gained global recognition in the 1900s as a health resort thanks to the efforts of Dr. Alexander Spengler. Today, Davos is one of Switzerland's premier ski destinations, offering 300 km of slopes, which extend into the neighboring resort of Klosters, providing a total of 320 km of skiable terrain.

With two main hubs, Davos Platz and Davos Dorf, visitors can experience different facets of the town. Davos Dorf is the main gateway to the ski areas, including the popular Parsenn slopes, while Davos Platz offers a lively nightlife scene and boasts numerous shops. The town is also home to world-renowned events, such as the World Economic Forum and the Parsenn Derby, drawing global attention each year.?

At 1,560 meters, Davos is one of the highest towns in Europe and offers multiple access points to the ski areas, including the Schatzalp cable car in Platz and the Parsenn funicular in Dorf. Its six sectors cater primarily to intermediate skiers, but there's something for everyone: beginners can learn on the Bolgen nursery slopes, and expert skiers can challenge themselves on the black runs of the Meierhofertäli.

For cross-country skiing enthusiasts, Davos boasts over 100 km of trails, while other winter activities like ice skating on Europe's largest natural rink, snowshoeing, tobogganing, and exploring 160 km of winter hiking paths round out the experience. Only 154 km from Zurich airport, Davos is easily accessible and even has its own railway stations that connects the two main centers.
