Das Hotel-Restaurant Krone im Dorfzentrum von Leuk-Stadt ist wohl im ersten Teil des 17. Jahrhunderts erstellt worden.
Wenn man der Überlieferung Glauben schenkt, so ist Johann Wolfgang Göthe auf seiner Durchreise im Jahre 1779 im Hotel Krone abgestiegen. Ende des 19. JH soll das Krone vollständig umgebaut und im 20. JH wieder modernisiert worden sein.
Die jetzige Eigentümerin hat in den letzten 15 Jahren weitere Renovationen und Investitionen für ca. CHF 850'000.00 getätigt.
Renoviert wurden unter anderem die 5 Zimmer im 2. OG, Küche (Boden/Industrieofen), Speisesaal, Treppenhaus, Buffet und Boden im Restaurant, neue Fenster usw. Zudem wurde viel neues Mobiliar/Inventar angeschafft. Im 2021 wurde die Fassade neu gemacht.
Nebst der eigenen Terrasse wird von Frühling bis Herbst der obere Teil des Hauptplatzes als zusätzliche Terrasse (30 Plätze) genutzt. Hier gibt es eine zeitlich beschränkte Nutzungsdauer. Eine Verlängerung kann wieder neu verhandelt werden.
Das KRONE ist ein bestens etabliertes Restaurant in der Gemeinde und bietet daher Interessenten eine sehr gute Voraussetzung für eine erfolgreiche Weiterführung durch mit bestehendem oder neuem Konzept, ohne das weitere, grosse Investitionen nötig sind.

Restaurant "KRONE" - a guest house with a past
The Hotel-Restaurant Krone in the village centre of Leuk-Stadt was probably built in the first part of the 17th century.
According to tradition, Johann Wolfgang Göthe stayed at the Krone Hotel in 1779 when he was travelling through the village. At the end of the 19th century, the Krone is said to have been completely rebuilt and modernised again in the 20th century.
The current owner has carried out further renovations and investments for approx. CHF 850'000.00 in the last 15 years.
Among other things, the 5 rooms on the 2nd floor, kitchen (floor/industrial oven), dining room, staircase, buffet and floor in the restaurant, new windows, etc. have been renovated. In addition, a lot of new furniture/inventory was purchased. In 2020, the façade was redone.
In addition to its own terrace, the upper part of the main square is used as an additional terrace (30 seats) from spring to autumn. There is a limited period of use here. An extension can be renegotiated again.
