Unterstrass comprises part of Zurich's sixth district and stretches north from the city center. This vast area was an independent municipality before being incorporated into Zurich in 1893. The neighborhood is home to the Irchelpark campus of the University of Zurich -- not to be confused with Irchel Park, a lovely greenspace that is open to the public.
