Insured benefits
Insurance cover is provided for financial consequences resulting from legal liability claims for the following:

Personal injury, i.e. death, injury or other impairment of health inflicted on third parties
Property damage, i.e. destruction, damage or loss of property belonging to third parties
Injury to animals, i.e. death, injury or loss of animals belonging to third parties or impairment of the health of such animals
Financial loss due to insured damage/injury to persons, property or animals

In the event of an insured claim, Migros Insurances will provide compensation for justified claims and the defence of unjustified claims (“passive legal protection”).

Sum insured
The amount of the sum insured is CHF 10 million.

Deductibles
The deductible agreed in the application process applies to all liability claims.

Optional add-ons
The following risks can also be insured:

Accidental damage to used or borrowed motor vehicles or the deductible and any loss of bonus of the vehicle keeper's casco insurance policy. Example: a car that is borrowed from a friend is damaged in an accident caused by an insured person. Since this friend does not have full casco insurance for their car, the damage is covered by the insurance company.
Key loss and lock change costs. Example: you lose the key to your house or office.

Other points to note

Extra insurance cover up to CHF 10 million
For every franc of premium paid, the policyholder receives one Cumulus point.
In years in which no claims are made, the policyholder receives additional Cumulus points as a bonus.
Damage caused by gross negligence is included in the insurance cover of all products.
No automatic increase in your premium after a claim is made.
The contracts each have a term of one year (tacit renewal) and can be terminated on a monthly basis.
