Rheumatology is a branch of medicine that deals with early diagnosis, diagnostics and treatment relating to rheumatic disease. This includes chronic-degenerative diseases, such as arthrosis, osteoporosis and muscular diseases (myopathies).
Rheumatologists treat chronic inflammatory disease, myopathy and systemic sclerosis. They carry out interventional pain therapy, X-ray pain radiotherapy in cases of arthrosis, atrophy of the synovium (radiosynoviorthesis) or pulse wave therapy.
