1. What is Yapeal?

Founded in 2018, Yapeal AG is an independent Swiss fintech company. It was the first company in Switzerland to obtain a Finma fintech licence. The fully-fledged Swiss account from Yapeal offers all of the usual payment services in the app. The company does not have any physical branches.

You can manage your pillar 3a account via the app. Here, there are two investment strategies to choose from: “conservative” and “balanced”. These strategies are based on the two pension funds provided by Bank Vontobel. Depending on the investment strategy chosen, the annual fees range from 0.42% to 0.47%. There are no further hidden fees for the Y3A pillar 3a product.

2. What’s unique about Yapeal?

  • An all-in-one solution: Yapeal brings together the most important banking services in one app. This includes standing orders, credit cards, eBills and pensions.

  • Daily rebalancing: the actively managed pension funds of Bank Vontobel ensure the best possible risk control by means of daily rebalancing. The invested assets are less exposed to fluctuations in the market.

  • Maximum security: accounts are opened using full digital ID verification and recognition. In the app, two-factor authentication is used as part of the login process. The invested assets are deposited in the renowned Vontobel 3a Pension Foundation of Bank Vontobel AG.

3. The Yapeal app

From signing up using your ID card to opening your account, you can do everything in the Yapeal app. The app can be downloaded in the Android and iOS app stores.

4. Other Yapeal products

Yapeal also offers solutions for companies including digital expense reports. There is also a children’s account, with which parents can teach children how to handle their finances safely and responsibly.
