1. What is Viac?
Viac offers 18 pillar-3a investment strategies spread over three investment themes (global, sustainable and Switzerland). There are seven risk levels with a stock allocation of between 0% and 99%. Customers with investment experience can also create their own personalized strategy.
Viac has received several awards since its launch in 2017. These include several test winners in the “Handelszeitung” pillar 3a fund comparison and a Gold award in the “Business Impact” category of the Best of Swiss Apps Awards 2018.
2. What’s unique about Viac?
Low fees
Depending on the strategy chosen, the total costs range from 0% to 0.44%. In addition, for every 10,000 francs invested in securities, Viac customers receive 2,500 francs in basic cover in the event of disability or death.
Low minimum investment
The minimum investment is one franc.
Returns are paid out directly
Viac offers withholding tax-exempt funds. In addition, the entire dividend is credited directly, including the withholding tax.
With or without bonds
When choosing a strategy, you can specify whether you want to use cash or bonds.
Own strategy
You can choose your own strategy from over 40 index funds and ETFs.
Invite friends
With the “Invite a friend” bonus, you can have up to 5,500 francs managed free of charge – for the rest of your life.

3. The Viac app
Launched in 2017 as a standalone app, Viac now also offers a web app for PCs and tablets.

4. Other Viac products
With Viac, you can invest your pension fund assets from the second pillar in a vested benefits solution. Viac also offers a traditional vested benefits account and strategies with an almost 100% stock allocation. The latter can only be selected in the non-mandatory component. In addition, you can set up different strategies for the mandatory and non-mandatory components. For example, a lower risk level for the mandatory component.
