If you visit Switzerland as a tourist, you may stay here without registering for up to 90 days. However, it is forbidden to work during this period. If you work in Switzerland for more than eight calendar days per year, you’ll also need a work permit. In order to work in Switzerland, all foreign nationals generally need a form of immigration permit – usually a work permit or a combined work and residence permit.
