Däniken liegt im solothurnischen Niederamt, zwischen der aargauischen Kantonshauptstadt Aarau und dem verkehrstechnischen Knotenpunkt Olten. Der Bahnhof liegt 382 m. ü.M., der höchste Punkt (610 Meter) befindet sich im Waldgebiet gegen den Engelberg, im südwestlichen Grenzbereich.
