Mathod est une commune suisse du canton de Vaud, située dans la plaine du Mujon, à mi-chemin entre Yverdon et Orbe. Longtemps purement agricole, elle s'est diversifiée avec un nombre toujours croissant de personnes, les nouvelles habitantes et nouveaux habitants se mêlant aux enfants d'ici.
Le village bénéficie de deux restaurants et plusieurs petits commerces. Il a également la chance d'accueillir quelques artistes et des sociétés villageoises actives qui garantissent l'animation.
Sur la ligne Orbe-Yverdon, Mathod est relativement bien desservi en transports publics. On y est proche de la ville, mais aussi du Jura, pour d'agréables promenades.
