What you will do

We're looking for an open and passionate individual to join our data team. In your 1-year-internship as Data Scientist you will contribute to maintain and develop our data products landscape and assist with data exploration, dataset creations and visualisation.

You will be able to impact and shape the adoption of statistical and AI tools across the company and how the data is used to drive products forward.

In detail, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the development of machine learning models, with a focus on Generative AI. This will involve working on various use cases and helping to implement and improve machine learning algorithms.

  • Conducting data mining for exploratory analysis, extracting valuable insights from large datasets. You will be responsible for identifying patterns, trends, and relationships in the data to support decision-making processes.

  • Contributing to the creation of training datasets by selecting and preparing the data for machine learning purposes. This will involve cleaning and organising the data to ensure its quality and suitability for model training

  • Collaborating in data modelling and visualisation efforts to effectively communicate complex information. You will work on designing and developing visual representations of data, enabling stakeholders to understand and interpret the data more easily.

What we expect from you
  • Creativity and curiosity for data-driven innovation in an online environment and ability to apply data modelling, statistics and machine-learning to delight our users and solve business problems.

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data science, or a related field.

  • Knowledge/understanding in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Scala, Java).

  • Interest in working with foundation models (LLMs, multimodal models). Practical experience with tools like Python scikit-learn, LLMs fine-tuning is a plus.

  • Fluent in English, working proficiency in German is a plus.

In return, here is what you can expect from us
