Light model or PPO (Preferred Provider Organisation) is an alternative insurance model with which the policyholder is obliged to consult a doctor from the doctor list of the health insurance provider in the case of illness. Unlike the GP model, the policyholder is not obliged to go to the same GP and can change the GP anytime him/herself. The terms "light" and "PPO" are outdated and therefore are mostly not used anymore by the health insurance companies, because most insurance companies replaced their light products with GP models.
