Products from Helvetia

Basic protection
All of the personal items in your home are worth protecting. Contents insurance covers damage done to your belongings, such as:

  • a fire breaking out in the flat;

  • a broken pipe flooding your home;

  • items getting stolen from your home;

  • a natural event such a storm damaging your personal items.

Supplemental insurance
Home contents insurance also offers add-ons, for even more protection:

  • All risks: covers your little darlings, such as your smartphone or laptop, against damage of any kind – for example, if your mobile phone screen shatters.

  • Simple theft away from the home: has someone stolen your smartphone on the train? Don't worry, we'll cover the stolen items.

  • Glass breakage: insures damages to furniture glass such as glass from display cases, mirror cabinets, glass tables and the like.

Good to know! Follow-up costs such as staying overnight in a hotel, or clean-up after a fire or water damage, for example, are also insured under basic protection.

Limitations of cover:

  • Up to 20% of the sum insured under contents insurance in the event of jewellery theft.

  • Cover for high-value contents: up to CHF 5,000. No cover is provided for simple theft.

  • Cover for glass damage: up to CHF 5,000.
