The comparis.ch product comparison on your mobile is a price comparison tool for mobile Internet/WAP. Comparing is worth it, because not every product marked as "top offer" or "special offer" really is such a bargain. After carrying out a comparison, the supposed "super" low prices that discounters or specialised stores offer are often found to be up to 50 percent higher than the prices of online stores.
With product comparison on your mobile, you can find out within seconds, wherever you are, whether the product you are considering at a specialised store or a discounter really is such a bargain. Range of shops
Product comparison includes products and prices from the major Swiss online shops, as well as products with price data from Dipl Ing. Fust AG, M-Electronics and Manor. comparis.ch has no data on product range and prices from Media Markt branches. comparis.ch neither accepts any product orders, nor sells any products.
comparis.ch does not charge the shops for being included in product comparison and product comparison on your mobile. All shops meeting a set of minimal standards are included in the price comparison.
The minimal standards include:
- Retailer must be contactable (by phone or e-mail) and must provide address
- Information on availability of products
- Information on postage costs
- SSL encryption for payment by credit card
Please inform us at info@comparis.ch of any violations of these standards, so that we can check and, if necessary, remove the offending retailer from our comparison.
Fees
Product comparison on your mobile is free of charge. The only costs that arise are the charges for the connection. Charges depend on the amount of data transferred. The amount of data can vary depending on type of mobile phone. comparis.ch tries to keep costs per enquiry as low as possible. A single price enquiry usually costs between 0.40 CHF and 1.00 CHF.
Access to product comparison on your mobile
To use Pricefinder on your mobile, you need an Internet or WAP enabled mobile phone.
You can access product comparison on your mobile in several different ways:
- Send a text message containing the word COMPARIS to the number 963 (CHF 0.20). You will immediately receive a text message containing your access to product comparison on your mobile.
- Order access on the comparis.ch website. We will send you a text message with your access: Product comparison on your mobile
- Enter the URL http://mobile.comparis.ch into your mobile phone's browser.
Different brands and models of mobile phones deal different ways of dealing with WAP Links. Normally, you can just click on the text message received from comparis.ch, and you will be connected. You will find more detailed information in your mobile phone's manual.
Once you have established a GPRS connection, you can create a bookmark. With this, you can access product comparison on your mobile quickly easily anytime you want. Forgotten to create a bookmark? No problem. Just send a text message containing the word COMPARIS to 963 (CHF 0.20) and we will send you access.
Access to Mobile Internet/WAP
In order to use product comparison on your mobile, you need a correctly configured mobile phone. With most new mobiles, this has already been done for you. Older mobiles may not support this service.
In case your mobile has not been pre-configured for WAP, you order the correct settings from you mobile provider. The required documents will be sent to you by your provider.

Cablecom Mobile Ready, Coop Mobile, M-Budget Mobile, Orange Prepay and Yallo do not support WAP. Therefore, product comparison on your mobile cannot be used with these providers.
Carrying out a comparison
Enter the desired product in the search field. The more exact the description, the quicker you will receive your results. Tip: Using the product number achieves the best search results.
Result pages
The results are sorted first by Postage costs, then by availability. The displayed prices include P&P. Clicking on the price takes you to the details of the shop selling the product. You will also see a shop evaluation. Availability, prices and postage costs are provided by the shops. comparis.ch does not take responsibility for the correctness of this information.
Total price inc P&P
For each product, comparis.ch calculates the total price including P&P. The total price consists of the retail price and the postage costs. The postage costs vary between retailers. For certain shops, the postage depends on the product weight, for other, it depends on the product price, and other charge a flat postage rate. comparis.ch receives information on postage, availability and prices directly from the shops. In case comparis.ch didn't receive the total price, an approximate total price is calculated. comparis.ch does not take responsibility for the correctness of the information.
Shop evaluation
comparis.ch evaluates the included shops and awards Comparis points. Criteria relevant to the Comparis Points are payment methods, details on postage, ease-of-use of the ordering process, consumer rights (e.g. return policy and guarantee), contact possibilities (phone, hotline, e-mail etc.) and quality of information on the shop website. For example, this includes whether or nor a shop publishes its terms & conditions on its website.
Prices
The prices displayed in product comparison and product comparison on your mobile
§- are updated regularly, at least once a day. The search results are sorted by postage costs.
Price differences
Product prices in product comparison may change on a daily basis. The price lists of shops included in product comparison are updated regularly. Price differences from one day to the next may occur. comparis.ch does not guarantee that the displayed prices are the lowest on the market. However, with product comparison, you can get a general idea of the range of prices on the market.
Save comparisons
You can always save the comparisons carried out on you mobile, and later access these on www.comparis.ch. In product comparison on your mobile, click on 'Save comparison' and enter your e-mail address. comparis.ch will send you an e-mail containing a link to your personal comparison. If you are already a registered comparis.ch user, log in using your username and password. If you do not have a comparis.ch account, give yourself a username and password, and you will see your personal comparison.
