The extent of kilometres driven, amongst other factors, contributes to depreciation during the leasing period. Therefore, should the lease holder cover more distance with the vehicle than originally agreed, it will be worth less than anticipated after the contract expires. This difference must be paid by the lease holder per kilometre in excess.
