Credit checking

(Federal law for consumer credit) stipulates that leasers assess customer creditworthiness before concluding contracts. This measure is meant to protect the customer from excessive indebtedness. The information centre for consumer credit was founded in order to enable credit checking by recording diverse information. Consequently, applicants for leases must provide the following information for concluding a deal:

  • Total household income
  • Child support
  • Costs of living
  • Maintenance payments
  • Financial support
