You can withdraw cash from a cash point in Switzerland and abroad with a credit card.
Tips from comparis.ch:
- Try to use your debit card (Maestro / EC card) for cash withdrawals in Europe whenever possible. For debit cards, the commission for cash withdrawals is lower than for credit cards. Some providers do allow their credit cards to be used for direct debit for cash withdrawals in Switzerland.
- Try to avoid withdrawing cash at the bank counter, as this is usually more expensive than at cash points. In our cost calculations, we therefore assume that money was withdrawn at cash points.
