The comparison of patients' satisfaction, re-entries, infections and errors is the result of a patients' survey accomplished
by the market and opinion research institution IHA-GfK on behalf of comparis.ch in July 2007.
For this survey, over 150.000 persons were contacted. Into the comparison on patients' satisfaction, chosen from the list
of hospitals with an A and E department,
53 major hospitals from all cantons (except Jura) were taken.
The points shown per hospital are rounded off to whole numbers. Internally, the grading was calculated
with a higher exactness.
"+" means: the patients' satisfaction in this hospital is significantly higher respectively
the rates of re-entries, infections and errors are significantly lower
than the average of the 53 compared hospitals. ("Swiss Hospital").
"-" means: the patients' satisfaction in this hospital is significantly lower respectively
the rates of re-entries, infections and errors are significantly higher
than the average of the 53 compared hospitals. ("Swiss Hospital").
The different ratings of patients' satisfaction between the different hospitals in many
cases do not vary
significantly (see

Therefore, they are not suited to be listed in a rating. Please read the comparis.ch survey
"Patients' Satisfaction in Swiss Hospitals" and the survey "Re-entry, Infection
and Error Rates in Swiss Hospitals" (the second survey is only available in German).
"n.e." means: For this hospital no data on patients' satisfaction, re-entries, infections
and errors was surveyed, as this hospital could not be considered in the
primary survey. Therefore, a statement on patients' satisfaction, re-entries, infections and errors
is not possible at present. |
