Year of birth in supplemental insurance

As the health insurers offer different premiums for different age groups, the insured person's year of birth is required to calculate the premiums.

For supplemental insurance premiums, a distinction is commonly made between current age and admission age. There are no uniform age groups as is the case with basic insurance; the health insurance companies may determine the age levels themselves.
