Get up-to-date on customs formalities for importing your furniture – car – plants – pets - etc. You should make a list of the items you intend to take with you when you do your packing in your home country (rough details). This must be later surrendered to customs. When moving to Switzerland you must declare your car when you cross the border as well as the rest of your personal effects.
