In Switzerland there are 3 mobile network providers: Swisscom Mobile, Sunrise and Orange. Each one uses its own mobile network.

There are numerous types of subscription. Subscriptions are taken out for a duration of 12 or 24 months, depending on the offer. Please note: Subscriptions are automatically extended upon expiry.

There are also prepaid offers available, which do not require taking out a subscription. After purchasing the prepaid card you can immediately make calls. Depending on the provider you can recharge your prepaid card at train ticket machines, Post Office machines or in shops specialising in electronics. Prepaid cards can be purchased in a lot of shops and kiosks.
