Providers in SwitzerlandSwisscom Fixnet has a monopoly on fixed network connections. An analogue connection costs CHF 25.25, an ISDN connection costs CHF 43.00 per month.
For making calls there are several different providers. With preselection you can use the provider of your choice. The five-digit code can be centrally programmed by Swisscom. Subsequently, all calls will be directed via your chosen provider. You can only choose one provider

You can also make individual calls with another provider. You just have to dial the corresponding code, e.g. 10755 für Alocall.
How to register
You can order the telephone connection most easily via the Swisscom website. They will allocate a phone number to you.

If you decide on a provider other than Swisscom, they will take care of the formalities with Swisscom. Your telephone number will remain the same even if you decide on preselection with another provider
