From 25th June 2012, Swisscom will sell five new mobile network subscriptions. The subscriptions are called «Natel Infinity» and carry the letters XS, S, M, L or XL. All five mobile subscriptions offer unlimited phone calls and text messages into all Swiss networks within Switzerland as well as unlimited surfing. The main difference between the subscriptions is the speed with which the Internet can be used.

If you like to make lots of calls and send many text messages, but only rarely use the Internet, «Natel Infinity XS» for CHF 59 per month is interesting. However, cheap prepaid offers by other providers are more attractive for a total call amount of 4 hours per month. For most customers, out of all the «Infinity» subscriptions, «Infinity S» for CHF 75 per month is probably the most interesting one. The speed of 1 MBit/s is fast enough for most customers. But also here, the same applies: if you download at most 300 MB of data per month and make less than about 4 hours of calls, a cheap prepaid offer is less expensive.

The «Natel Infinity»  M, L or XL options offer a faster speed, include a certain amount of minutes for calls to countries abroad as well as included services for usage abroad.

Customers who are already with Swisscom continue to use their existing subscription; only «Natel Befree» customers partly receive a new offer automatically. Changing to the new «Infinity» subscriptions is possible at any time. If the existing data volume is sufficient and customers would not like to transmit more data, the existing subscriptions are cheaper in many cases. This can be checked very easily: if the amount on the bill of the existing subscription is lower than the basic fee for the new «Natel Infinity» subscriptions, then a change is not worthwhile.
