“Orange Me“ is the new mobile phone subscription by Orange. The customers have to select from several options with included benefits and decide on one version. Apart from “Prima”, the existing subscriptions are no longer offered for new customers. Existing Orange customers can keep their subscription or can also change to “Orange Me”.
A comparis.ch analysis shows that “Orange Me” is considerably cheaper than the previous offers from Orange. If you make calls for less than 70 minutes per month, however, “Prima” is still the cheapest Orange subscription. Orange customers who make more calls are better served with “Orange Me”.
Compared to the offers by Swisscom and Sunrise, Orange is now usually only slightly more expensive than the price setter Sunrise – for customers who only make few or occasional calls. For average to frequent callers who make calls for more than 3 hours per month, “Orange Me” is the cheapest mobile subscription. The flatrate with an unlimited amount of calls in all Swiss networks cost CHF 90 per month with “Orange Me”. Included in this price are also all calls from Switzerland into most European and some other countries. With Sunrise, a comparable offer costs CHF 115 (however, only for calls within Switzerland and not abroad).
For most customers, the cheapest offers by far are still the cheap prepaid rates (e.g. by Migros, Coop or Aldi).
