Appprenticeship as a plumber. Studies of Psychology, Career Guidance and Journalism as well as post-graduate studies of Business and Administration (Executive MBA) at the University of Fribourg. Since 1991 various functions in different associations in social and health care, at last as Delegate of Public Affairs at Santésuisse, the interbranch organisation of Swiss health insurers. During his many years of association activities he established a solid network of contacts in business, politics, administration and media.
