Creditworthiness

According to the results of credit checks, the credit providers are able to assess whether the applicant for credit is creditworthy. If the consumer loan can be repaid without having to draw upon the nonforfeitable part of his income (as regulated by federal debt and bankruptcy laws), the applicant is considered creditworthy.

Socially-specific and internal business political criteria which must be fulfilled are also relevant for the assessment.
