Roadkill

If you hit e.g. a deer with your vehicle, this is called roadkill. The resulting damage is covered by partial coverage insurance.

You must report such accidents to the authorities (gamekeepers, police) or their owners, if pets or farm animals are involved. Especially in the case of accidents involving game you are forced to report.

Tip:

The risk of hitting a deer is highest at night and during twilight on country roads. If you are mainly driving in urban areas, coverage for “Roadkill” is not necessary.
